Who do you prefer when it comes to football/soccer games? Personally, I think Konami are now much better at developing good footie games. EA used to be really good, but they’ve kinda been churning the same old think out for the last 5 or so years.

Konami are definitley better, especially with the release of Pro Evolution Soccer 3, it feels like you are in the game, it’s very smooth, and faster paced game.

Konami will reign supreme in the football sim genre for quite a while me thinks. 🙂

No football game beats Nintendo World Cup on the NES. A football game that advocates beating up your opponents until they can’t stand.

Although each time I tried to tackle someone from West Germany or Argentina, my player would die.

Uh, I always liked Striker on the SNES. And Sensible World of Soccer on the Amiga, re-naming players with characters from Sonic the Comic.

Those were the days.

I have never in my life played a soccer game and I don’t plan on starting. I just can’t see the fun in soccer… probably because i am american.

I’m more into Arcade Soccer (Football) type games compared to EA’s simulation games. The whole FIFA series kinda turns me off. I’m more for Konami’s International Superstar Soccer.

ISS Pro was the first footy game I had on PlayStation.

Such loveable commentary <3

I have only played the newest release by Konami which is pretty good I have to say. I however am a EA Sports fan from way back in the day and never buy out of the EA spiral, usually. EA’s last Fifa’s though have been pretty good, as long as they can make the goalie’s not so dense to oncoming balls.
