Synopsis Japan, year 1963. Umi Matsuzaki is a high school student who , in the absence of his mother, caring for her two brothers and her grandmother at the same time manage a hostel in Western style, Coquelicot Manor, on top of a hill near the sea. The girl calmly combines his responsibilities with their school life. One day he meets Shun Kazama , a member of the journalism club and Mizunuma Shiro , president of the student council . Both are representatives of the Quartier Latin, an old building that houses the various associations of students and that is in danger of being demolished. Between Umi and Kazama will emerge a deep friendship that could be complicated with the unexpected discovery of a secret past . Together we will discover a way to live among the shady past , the present and difficult hopeful future in a moment of time where Japan began to raise its head .
