Fans of the classic single-player Star Wars RPGs may be in for a treat soon, as it appears that a "Knights of the Old Republic Collection" is incoming. Two separate retailers have listed the set, which would presumably include both KotOR and KotOR II: The Sith Lords. The collection has only been listed for the PC.

Joystiq reports that the Collection was found on GameStop’s internal listings, for $19.99 and launching in July 17. The leak gained even more traction when Amazon put up a listing for the game, with the same date and price.

Both games were highly regarded, but the sequel was criticized by some fans for seeming incomplete. Shacknews has contacted LucasArts regarding the wild retail sightings, and will update as more information becomes available.

I’ll still grab it… just hope it includes Yavin Station for KotOR. I’d be even more surprised if it includes the extra content for KotOR II TSL though…

Hope they launch this on X360 too…

Considering that I’ve seen both games on sale at my local EB Games very cheaply makes me doubt this. They’ve long been part of EA’s budget ‘PC Classics’ range anyway so this is rather superfluous, unless the missing content is restored and included with them as Revan mentioned (my PC copy of KOTOR included Yavin station), so I guess it’s still possible.

Besides, we all know how money-hungry both EA and George "my-brain-is-in-my-beard’ Lucas are so anything is possible I guess.

As long as EA doesn’t screw it up again like they did with the whole ME3 debacle.

I’m playing the Trial of The Old Republic right now.

Pretty good MMO so far. Too bad the Story was handled by BioWare. It feels like KoTOR 1, just Online. With the cheezy and cliched Dialogues all the way.

EDIT: Not saying that it may bad or terrible or anything like that. Just the Dialogues feel the same way they did in KoTOR 1. Maybe the story will turn out to be good.

Well, I’ve had the ‘endgame’ story for TOR spoiled for me already,… and it’s a ridiculous retcon to KoTORI and II (especially II). I’m not going to say anything more, other than the fact that it was clear Bioware just didn’t try to think up something more original than reviving certain elements from the first two games for the MMO. But I’m on my soapbox again. 😛

I really enjoyed playing TOR, but I got stuck with my level 15 Jedi Consular on Coruscant – that stupid Sith Lord in the Jedi Temple Ruins kicks my butt every single time. >< I let my account lapse a month or so ago due to having some more urgent bills that needed paying, but I’ll probably go back to it soon.

If you want to play the game with the most cut content for TSL restored, your best bet is to play it with the TSL Restored Content Mod (Version 1.8) (http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/1448-tsl-restored-content-mod-18-released/).
