Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix gamerip

Normally I’d wait at least another day before making this thread (i.e. not until October 2nd in Japan’s time zone, the game’s official release date), but apparently, some copies have already been sold in Japanese stores!

You could just wait for the OST release because I doubt we’re going to get one. (Thread 180202)

There are some who would like to get the music as soon as possible and don’t want to wait for the OST to come out, like me. Kingdom Hearts II has, so far, my favorite soundtrack of the series (since it’s the KH I’ve played the most). Mind you, I’m definitely anxious for the OST, but my impatience is a curse sometimes.

As long as someone can get a gamerip, that would suffice for now. I’m really interested in hearing The Other Promise, Fight to the Death, and Darkness of the Unknown.

And, if I remember correctly, I think it was Everglow8444 who gave us some music only about a week or two after the game’s JP release, which was how I discovered the unbelievable remix of Vector to the Heavens (thank god that post wasn’t an April Fools joke!!)

The soundtrack will be redone with full orchestra this time around, with around 54 tracks redone. The orchestra was recorded by the Video Game Orchestra [Lightning Returns – Final Fantasy XIII, God Eater 2]. I’m really excited to hear what they come up with.

Someone uploaded the Roxas vs. Axel fight, where the remade 13th Struggle is clearly audible. It’s really good.

He started uploading videos around 2 weeks after launch but the first gamerip on here wasn’t out until April 18th. Woah, my memory was off.

Any update on a gamerip?

Hey guardiansoul. First of all, thanks so much! Second, would you mind helping me with these files? I remember downloading the 1.5 gamerip successfully last year but since I’m not well versed in these kinds of things, I’m not sure what to do with this one. Last year I was able to unzip it all with winzip but all that is showing up with the 2.5 are a bunch of scd files where the songs should be. Did I do something wrong? I’ve tried redownloading many times but to no avail.

EDIT: I finally figured it out! Thank you!

I think the .scd files are right from the game data. They should be playable on Winamp (because that’s my primary media player).
