Jonny Quest (1964) Hoyt Curtin

First broadcast in 1964, Jonny Quest was syndicated all over the world including Japan as Jonny Quest-O.

The great jazzy score for Jonny Quest was provided by Hoyt Curtin who sadly passed away in 2000 at the age of 78. Curtin famously said that he wrote the Jonny Quest theme "in a killer key because I know how to play trombone and I know the hardest place to play is all of the unknown, odd positions. There wasn’t anything open. Just murder, E-flat minor."

Jonny Quest 0-37 Files The Complete JQ2 (192kbps)

———- Post added at 09:19 PM ———- Previous post was at 09:08 PM ———-

Have also uploaded the first Volume of this JQ collection

Thanks anyway, have these at better rte. 😀

OK

Nonetheless, your upload is appreciated. Many were looking for these. 😀

There’s another volume of Jonny Quest music which is somewhat different from the 2 volumes of 0-37 Files. This selection contains just incidental themes and not so much commercials and read-along LP tracks like in the 0-37 Files. There might be some cues in this collection which are different from the Jonny Quest 0-37 Files. I just wanted to pass this volume along too in the hopes that it can add to the enjoyment of folks here looking for more Hoyt Curtin goodness. There’s 51 tracks at 320 kbps.

Hey khonshu,

Thank you so much for posting this and putting a big smile on my face. It was very thoughtful and generous of you to share these great Curtin cues. I have to confess that there is a lot of padding in the 0-37 Files so this collection is a welcome bonus.

There are a few albums with score, including Johnny’s Golden Quest. All of these have multiple duplicate tracks, but all also each feature distinct tracks that are not on the others. I have been going through and removing the duplicates, and will eventually combine the remainder into one album, but this is an on and off side project and I have no idea really of when I may finish it. You’ll know when I post it.

Woo hoo now that is something worth waiting for Amanda. Consider me #1 in the virtual queue for that Curtin treasure

Fantastic thread! I love the music for this classic cartoon! Khonshu, special thanks for posting your link. I wasn’t able to get Crispy45’s share after numerous tries unfortunately.

thanks gfor this

Hohoho! Christmas in April! Thanks so much for these – both the original share and the alternate link! Man oh man how I’ve loved the Johnny Quest music over the years (but have had it isolated from the episodes before).

thanks

My epic bone is trembling. Ahh music jokes. Thanks.

Thanks a lot for this and the other volume from this series!
