Thanks a bunch! I liked the movie a lot. I believe that, story-wise, Paranorman’s climax make Brave’s look like an episode of "My Little Pony".

Makes me hope for one of those full score things to pop up for Paranorman down the line.

I hear Brion trying to channel Jerry Goldsmith during the bigger action pieces but sadly only half manages to impress me. The use of stereo separation in regards to the orchestral instruments is something I miss from scores from the 80’s-90’s and it’s used impressively here during said action pieces. Also, I really dug the 80’s throwback synth pieces that open and close the album but ultimately, I wasn’t entirely impressed with the album but for different reasons than it not being complete. I was pretty astounded to see so many 4 and 6 minute cues plus that mammoth 16 minute cue adding to the film’s generous running time of 65 and a half minutes which, personally, could have left out some cues that ultimately bogged the album down but it adds some diversity amongst the cue selections so it’s acceptable. My score: 3/5.
