Just finished downloading this. Looks like it’s a reissue of the 1993 soundtrack plus a few extras. Sorry, no source music in this release. Good sound, though. A bit disappointed, but the extra materials are worth having. However, if you have the sessions already, then all this music has been released in some form or another. Happy listening!

bozeman1941, a 320K mp3 do NOT have poor sound quality. A 128K mp3 does. Just because it is compressed doesn’t mean it is bad. If I play you the same pieces at 320k mp3 and flac, I dare you to find which one is which.

Sorry to disagree, but ALL mp3’s sound bad. Even 320kbps is less than 1/4 the resolution of CD (1411.2kbps), and a tiny percentage of the quality of vinyl, DSD or hi-res WAV or FLAC. As a former music and audio professional, I can hear the difference easily, every time; if you can’t, it’s because you don’t know what to listen for.

Interestingly, I found a link that supposed to give me flac:

I think it’s also listed in the first post? But when I used AudioChecker to verify the files, it couldn’t determine the file source (don’t know what this means). I guess the only thing to do is to purchase a physical CD copy to confirm if this is genuine lossless. I’ll leave this endeavor to those who can buy things online. Good luck!

You are quite right; these files are upsampled mp3’s, with the exception of track 18, oddly. The poor sound is a dead giveaway, but I ran them past Lossless Audio Checker just to be sure, and it confirmed they are upsampled. So, I shredded them, and will just have to keep on looking for genuine FLACs or WAVs.

since the ORIGINAL CD contains tracks with frequency cut-off that will be a long wait….same goes for Harry Potter
