Here is the rare soundtrack to the 1997 animated film "Jake’s Gift." The film was animated by the famous Japanese author/illustrator Shomei Yoh and is another of his simple stories for kids about Jake the dog. This is either the film version of Yoh’s popular story "Jake’s Christmas" (which came out the same year) or perhaps something new written for the screen. The slim booklet offers very little information. The music is sweet and heartwarming, but not cartoony: track 8 is especially uplifting and track 9 is as achingly lovely as anything Oshima has written.

12 tracks on RCA CD #VICL-60075 (JAPAN). Released in 1997.
Link is in spoiler.

There is a song in here, Track 9 – "Jump!". It’s fantastic. I keep coming back to it.
