Another fine example of the excellence of Roland Shaw and His Orchestra and the magic of early wide band groove Decca recordings.
This time we explore the world of early James Bond movies with versions every bit as exciting as the John Barry ones.
Track 5 has very tiny recording level fault at the start which is present on every CD and LP of the album.
The Album was released on CD in Japan on the Derran label and although was of quiet good quality it is a very different listening experience to the LP version
which has great detail and clarity. Just a quick listen to the wonderful From Russia with Love theme will confirm this

I have to say that this album was a pleasant surprise once I listened to it.
The arrangements are all very well done, and the quality of the restoration is spectacular.

P.S.: This album’s "From Russia With Love" arrangement will sound pretty familiar to people who have watched Breaking Bad, since Anita Tijoux used it as the base for her track "1977" that was used in that series.
