While digging around an old hard drive, I uncovered a suite that I had mixed from the vast library of John Ottman many years back. While this suite is in no way comprehensive, it is a good summary of the works I grew up listening to the most. I fell in love with Ottman’s music LONG before Beltrami came into my musical consciousness. As a tribute, I mixed 80 minutes of Ottman’s best music (in my opinion) into a somewhat cohesive long suite. As I’m listening through it, I also hear some unreleased cues from House of Wax mixed into it so until the complete score/sessions show up for that, this has the cues I want most included (albeit w/ very slight SFX). I do hear some missed opportunities but overall, it’s an enjoyable listen to fans of Ottman’s work.

Enjoy!

Thanks very much for the new link, Cody. Appreciate it!!!

Hi, Cody. Sorry to bother you again when you’re very busy. The original link for Red Dragon deluxe that you posted a few years back no longer works and I could not find any newer mirror links for it on the thread. I posted a re-up request on the original thread to see if anyone still had it but no replies yet. If you still have this one and at some point would be able to send me a link, I would greatly appreciate it. All of the other posts of the Red Dragon sessions are not great quality wise. Thanks again for all your hard work on improving these complete scores!!!!

Any chance you have a record of which tracks or at least which scores are included in the suite? I am interested in listening to this but I only know about 10 Ottman scores and it would be weird to listen to a suite while not knowing what score I’m listening to half the time.

Apt Pupil, House of Wax, Fantastic 4, Hide and Seek, X2, Gothika, Portrait of Terror (Halloween H20), Eight Legged Freaks, Urban Legends: Final Cut, Cellular, Snow White: A Tale of Terror, The Invasion, Pumpkin, The Usual Suspects and Superman Returns. It’s not in any sequential order, just whatever the flow felt like to me at the time. It’s not perfect but it works for me.

So I take it you don’t have a cue by cue breakdown? Still very helpful as I don’t own more than half of those scores so I know I’ll be getting a lot of new music without having to listen to entire new scores. Thanks!!
