I’ve been looking for this for years but unfortunately the link on the site is gone so if anyone has this to reupload I’d be eternally grateful! I used to watch the movie all the time as a kid and the one thing that stuck out was Jerry Goldsmith’s score and unfortunately the album (even at a generous 40 minutes) is missing the complete final showdown music between Spengo and the Nelsons. This version still seems to be missing that but appears to include several unreleased cues so that works out just as well.

That Rescuers Down Under complete score sounds nice, too. The album was pretty decent but the exclusion of most of McLeach’s villian music was a very big disappointment.

On the subject of Mom and Dad Save the World, I was remembering a friend from high school ironically named Todd who resembled in more ways than one the Tod character from this film and on days when we would go riding in my car he’d start talking and the first thing to come to my mind was the "Tod the Destroyer" anthem from the soundtrack album. I played it for him on numerous occasions and while neither he nor his girlfriend understood the reference (probably for the better since he’d have probably gotten pissed had he been able to find the movie to understand), it had me in stitches. Needless to say, he seemed like he came from the planet Spengo. The fact that I could find humor in even the most idiotic things he said made hanging around him much more bearable. In fact what makes bad movies like these so much more fun to watch is when you can connect to even the most idiotic characters in movies in real life. Granted it’s a good thing we went our own separate ways after high school because I don’t think I could’ve put up with him for the rest of my life.
