Loves me some Sgt. Pepper. I prefer Abbey Road, personally, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a Sgt. Peppers drumhead patch on my messenger bag.

I couldn’t possibly think of a band more overrated than the Beatles. 🙁

my ex-stepfather, who is a twat and an alcoholic, was absolutely enamoured with the beatles. since then i have never been able to bring myself to listen to them objectively.
thus this anniversary has no meaning to me whatsoever.

Sgt. Pepper pisses me off (through no fault of its own) because it would have had no impact if the Beach Boys hadn’t dumped their Smile project, which was basically the same thing, but more advanced and ahead of the Beatles. Damn the rest of the Beach Boys for not doing what Brian Wilson knew was best, and damn the Beatles for getting the credit Wilson deserved.
