Is the game going to work? help pls

I recently bought FF XI for a friend off of ebay, so I can play it with them. The only problem is the registration key has probably been used, will the game even play? ( can you register the same game more than once i guess is what im asking)

Nope, Not a chance!

Only if you already have an existing active account with PlayOnline can you use a pre-owned copy of the game which has had it’s registration codes used by someone else (which I assume you don’t).

Therefore, you’ll need a brand new (unopened) copy of the game to create a new account to play FFXI, as the registration codes are linked to your payment option (for instance, if you create new extra characters you’ll need to enter your registration code for FFXI).

If you bought it from a friend, then it’s likely that the codes have already been used and linked to his character and cannot be re-used by you. Really, sell it back to him and buy a new copy of the game, as it’s the only way you can play FFXI.
