Ok i can never see how much damage im doing. ANd also on boss fights isn’t it suppose to display there HP in a bar on the top of the screen?? It never does for me….

You need an ability for that. I believe it is called scan. You should get it somewhere around level 9, if my memory serves. Same way with both Kingdom Hearts.
