I’m stuck on Gaea Cliff!

I’ve just defeated the two-headed dragon boss in that icy cave on Gaea Mountain (Disc 2), and I’ve ran out of the cave and continued to climb up the mountain, and eventually Cloud stands up onto the mountain. I run up, but there’s some kind of invisible barrier blocking my way. I press select to show the red arrows and it says I have to go forward, but I can’t go that way. I can go left to a certain extent and right to a certain extent, but I can’t seem to go anywhere. Please help! I can’t remember being stuck on this bit last time I played the game.

Im not exactly sure where you are. After you beat the boss you should climb up a bit and be on the top of the mountain.

You can definitely go up. Just hold X and Up, and press right or left until it works. If it’s a bug, I’ve never heard of this one.

Well if it`s the console version i can`t see there being a glitch that wasn`t there before. Search google for some in depth walkthroughs and such and you`ll be fine.

Are you referring to the path you take outside that makes you keep your body temperature up? There are a lot of dead ends in this area, and you will probably have to go down and try another way. Are you on the left side, or the right? I think I had this same trouble when I played the game again.

Not the body temperature bit. I’ve just defeated a two-headed dragon, went out of the cave and the body temperature thing has stopped. I climb up the right and I can’t go up any further. I try to climb down again, but no luck. Press SELECT and a red arrows appears over the mountain.

r u at the part of the game where like its a huge area of just snow and u can leave the flags down or am i getting mixed up. i know the dragon ur talking about it is like icy fire dragon. but i dont exactly understand where u rly are right now be a lil bit more specifc plz

Okay, I understand where you are at.
Once you keep going up eventually a movie-type scene will play showing whats at the center of the mountain.
Maybe something is wrong with your disk making it unable to show this scene?

i think i have a solution when u r playing on the second disk and like ur trying to move forward get into a battle and then while in the battle open the disk drive and put in the 1st or 3rd disk and wait a few seconds. it will start working again after freezing. i think ur second disk has a scratch or something on it. im not sure if this will work for ps2 but it works for ps1. i guess its worth a try huh?? tell me how it goes

Yeah, the only reason I could find the game would "fuck-up" like this is because your disc is scratched and it cannot load the scene showing Cloud on top of the crater.
