Like I said, I’m not poetic like lisa. But I’v written a bit, usualy I toss them out w00! .. anyway here’s 2 poems I’ve done recently
————————–
During the light I vail my anguish
When it rains, I dance with the tears of the heavens
Within the darkest shades of night
I become something that cannot be simply described

A mystery to myself
I could be seen as cynical
I might be viewed as shallow
Lonely, oh so lonely

Trusting is failing
Friendship a lie
Promises broken
Forever made-up

These thoughts have filled my void
Hollowed me out like a jack-o-lantern
Im blind to everything
Yet so very aware

Betrayal is eminent and brings chaos
Before chaos, you must lose
Losing comes after winning
Once youve won you can never win again

Destroying my soul with bitterness
Overflowing my heart with shame
I gape for more but theres only blame
Theres only so much one can miss

Deaths all around there is no escaping
Gather up yourself for the embracing

Uncomfortable escaping
Curled up in a cornier shaking
Nothings the same
Everyones changing

Alone, quivering in a shadowy abyss
Hidden by the comforting darkness
Beaten down by the disasters that each day brings.
As if, victimized by deep bee stings

To my broken spirit
For my tainted mind
With this battered body
I conclude
————————————–
Day by day more seems to fade away
How long?
Forgotten so much…
How long?
Reason perished in a flame of darkness
How long?
Feeling melted away like snow
How long?
Purpose lost in the shadows of night
How long?
Desire drained like a summer sun
How long?
Hunger come’s but once a day
How long?
Hope vanished out of grasp
How long has?
Time has become lonesome and boring
How long has it?
Friendship has been highly over rated
How long has it?
Self worth pummeled by what?
How long has it been?
Cannot hold on.. forever to nothing..

Those who talk to me much know how i feel about depressing things… but I had to read this one because Michelle is a friend.

I know this stuff comes from your heart Michelle, and I for one am glad that you are not Lisa (no offense to her). Is written very well and very emotional.

Very good poems, Michelle.

Though, as Loki said, a bit depressing.

Very good, nonetheless. I like them.

Michelle, it sounds like you’re trying to get in touch with your depression feelings. These are very heartfelt and stirring poems. Keep up the good work. And remember, you know people who have been in that darkness with you – feel free to talk to me about any of this stuff. I hope writing will help you find the light. Right now I’m directing a scene that deals with this kind of stuff and I think that knowing the darkness is the best way to help us find and appreciate the light. Keep strong my friend and you’ll make it through.

We’ve all been in the darkness, I believe, some of us deeper than ohters. Still my advice is simple. There may come a time when your will is broken, and you spirit is shattered, and there doesn’t seem to be an end to the madness in sight. But even when your courage is failing you, there is one last thread of hope. You must grab hold of that thread and hold onto it thightly. Never let go of it, as to make it to where anyone who desires to take it away, will have to do so from your cold, dead fingers.

In the mean time, keep your chin up, and know that there are people who love you, even though you don’t always feel it, and you don’t always see it, but sometimes it takes a long time of not seeing it, to learn to truly see it. If what I am saying doesn’t make sense to you now, it might just later. If it doesn’t later, well at least you had a really kick ass set of poems… I mean. "The Soul was Killed With the Beast" doesn’t have anything on either of your two untitled pieces. Your’s are truly expressive, and you know what emotions are being expressed, yet there is still some depth to peel into. I’ll surely read these again, and I’ll also read any others you write. Perhaps one day, you’ll write one for joy.

With lotsa love,

Zachron

P.S. Jello!
