If you got the Good Ending, then you should understand exactly how he comes back.
Maechen: "There may yet be a way to reunite with those who have left us."
Fayth: "Would you like to see him again?"
Yuna: "Yes."
Fayth: "I’ll see what we can do, but I can’t make any promises."
You did play the original game and do understand that Tidus was / is a dream of the Fayth, right?

yea, thats all true, but doesnt the fayth have to keep dreaming in order for tidus to stay "alive" and not dissappear? i thought they wanted to rest, and since sin is gone, they wouldnt have to keep dreaming anymore…
i guess i can understand that the fayth dreamed up tidus again so yuna could meet him…but wouldnt he eventually dissappear again… : /

Well, it seems to me that it’s their gift to Yuna, for having done so much for them.

If a dream of the fayth fought hard enough to become real, then they would be "re-born" sort-of-speak as they were. Tidus fought through the dream and made himself real, beat the first one over again, listen carefully, and watch all the way till the very end, even after the credits, you’ll see the other half to what happens at the end of Final Fantasy X-2, but it will be from Tidus’s point of view, not Yuna’s, the second game only really gives you her side.
