Hades Secret Synth Shop:

Yeaah,secret. ^o^ So,erm,why the heck can Save The Queen be synthetized,if only Beatrix can use it? Is it needed in a quest or somethin’? Or is it just to make us want to us it so badly..? ;_;

Save the queen is needed for a secrect ending just like the hammer! I dont think you can use it for a weapon because ive never got it before so i havent seen the ending for it yet either!

Save the Queen is actually a useless item you can get, either for show or to throw. You don’t need it for the extra scene in the ending. So it’s either there so you could be, "Hey, I have StQ!", or you could throw it with Amarant.

Vivi FF is right. Save the Queen does absolutely nothing to the ending. That was just a baseless rumour that’s been doing the rounds on pretty much every FF discussion Forum since the game’s US release, but I can assure you, it is not true.

SPOILER ALERT

Only the Hammer adds a short bonus scene to the ending, during the play at the end, where Baku’s character, King Leo, executes Blank’s character for betraying Marcus. That’s it. Nothing more. It’s not a true alternaltive ending, but does give some closure to the play though…

As for Save the Queen, all you can really do with it is have Amarant throw it at an enemy, although I suppose you could try selling it at a weapon store, something I’ve never tried though.

I’m not sure, but I think that having it in your inventory may also add towards your ‘Treasure Hunter Rank’ too, but again I’m not certain about that. Other than that, Save the Queen is pretty much a piece of useless junk which only serves to clog up your inventory (after all, this isn’t the first time Square has added a useless weapon you can buy, but can’t use into one of their games – remember the Masamune blades you could win at Gold Saucer in FFVII?).

Save the Queen definitely doesn’t add an extra scene to the ending. I know the ending quite well, and I’ve gotten Save the Queen.

I wish it had been slightly less useless. I got all excited when I first saw that you could get it, and it was a bit of a let down.
