Hi; I’m currently compiling a set that’ll feature gamerips from Lunar Silver Star Story Complete and Silver Star Harmony. Work’s almost done, but I’d like to try and find a way to remove voiceovers from one of the mp3’s, called "A Goddess Reborn." If anyone’s interested enough to help, you’ll find the link below: I already converted it to mp3 form, and though I have Audacity, I still haven’t figured out how to remove unwanted voiceovers and SFX without damaging the music itself. I know there’re programs out there that can do that, but I’m in no position to buy them myself: if anyone out there knows a way to do this that won’t end up costing me quite the pretty penny, please contact me as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

P.S.: Apologies if I posted this on the wrong forum group: I need to make sure it’ll be seen by as many people as possible.

Buff. " I know there’re programs out there that can do that". Are you sure?

I thought that was impossible to do… :S

you can usually remove vocals quite successfully, but there is usually a problem with sfx. The most basic thing to do is to play with equalizer.

I think it is technically impossible to completely remove voices from certain mp3 unless you own the DVD for anime/game….etc. Though using certain software will allow you to manipulate voices layers but still this will not totally remove the sound. Take a look at this example provided with the link below. By listening you will be able to listen easily to manipulated voices, though the recorder trying to remove voices but still not 100 % pure. It might be a different story if you own the DVD though.

This is the only information I can provide, my humble knowledge in voice editing softwares and such will not allow me to speak further. I recommend that you contact capable guys on these issues and the list is no short of those on the forum. I can name OrangeC. However, there are so many indeed 🙂
