how to get final attack?

How do I get the final attack materia? I heard it’s in the gold saucer in some "special" fight, but where do I find that fight?

In order to access the special battle in the Gold Saucer’s Battle Arena, you have to win both the Omnislash and W-Summon items (worth 32000 and 64000 Battle Points respectively.) That’s a lot of fighting, I am afraid.

Then, when you’ve won those two items, the attendant will offer you the chance to fight a special battle. Cloud is the only character you can use, I think, but after you win it, the Final Attack Materia is yours.

hmm, I have both the omnislash and w-summon. Do you have to get them both at the same time? or should I not have "used" omnislash? or are there level-requirements? or maybe it’s because i’m on disc 3?

I didn’t think the battle itself activated until disk 3 anyway. :/ So I’m not too sure what’s going on there. So long as you’ve got the two items from the Battle Square, it should activate unless I’m going WAY wrong in my thinking…

You have to beat Ultima weapon at first. (Is it Ultima weapon?, well, I�m talking about the one, that�s flying around)

Even if you got omislash and w-summon, you won�t get the final attack, until you beat the weapon.

After you beat him, go to the Gold Saucer again, and then you�ll be able to do the last battle.

Chase after Weapon in the Highwind, and wait for it to stop over a location to fight it again. Eventually it’ll stop over Cosmo Canyon. When that happens, you should be able to fight it to defeat. 🙂

not only do u have to beat ultima weapon but u have to have also beaten proudcloud in midgard, because this is the final boss u will fight in the special arena match

if you havent beat the weapon yet, then instead of chasing it around you can just use KOTR (knights of the round) if you have it
and the weapon will go straight to cosmo canyon. hope that helps.

Sorry, I didn’t read this earlier, but I think, everything is said already. 😉

If you chase the Weapon, you have to hit it a few times. After 2-3 times hitting him, it’ll fly to a location and stop there (Nibel Mountains for example). Hit it again, and you’ll get into the fight. You won’t be able to defead it yet, because it’ll take off.

Then, the weapon will fly around again, and you have to do the whole thing again. After a few times, it’ll stop at Cosmo Canyon then. This is the location for the final battle!

If you don’t want to do to the chasing, and you have Knights of the round, just summon it the first fight with Weapon, and it’ll fly straight to Cosmo Canyon (carebeareater mentioned this one already).
