With no extra information, I’m going to say you’re on Windows.

This has a lot of success and critical claim: Exact Audio Copy
Exact Audio Copy 1.0 beta 3 – VideoHelp.com Downloads (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Exact-Audio-Copy)

You’ll have to google for setup guides. I know none.
The program has updated so the guides I see are outdated.

It’s critical to set it up properly the first time.
After that, you don’t have to set it up again.
You will need one clean CD without scratches.
And one semi-scratched CD.

This will set up the program to rip the CD accurately.
Your CD drive (CD/DVD drive) has a natural "offset" and the software needs to find that offset so it can change its settings to match your CD drive.

It’s also a very good idea to share any settings you’ve made with your hardware (CD/DVD drive) so they’re added to the AccurateRip database.
Also all your CD rips submitted too.
This helps ensure other people have ripped their CD’s accurately if they have the same make/model that matches your CD/DVD drive.
If no one submits their results, you’ll never know if you ripped the CD accurately or not.

The information is anonymous and they don’t keep record of your IP address, name or anything sensitive.
It is recommended for a much greater cause.

EDIT: Also, never visit the official site! Always download from a mirror!
The official site has been known to be under attack from malicious hackers to embed malicious code to the website pages.
The mirroring websites to download from (VideoHelp, MajorGeeks, etc) are clean.
The software themselves don’t carry malicious code, just the web pages when they are hacked.
In the past several years, EAC’s official website has been hacked a number of times, just as this forum has been hacked several times.

Spartank very thanks for the head’s up. I did some reading yesterday and today I bought the Defiance score by James Newton Howard from a store just to test it. I will rip the cd to flac extension and I will share it.

Despair should have known better. Here is an updated guide for EAC 1.0 beta3.

Thread 91868

Just follow the step by step guide on how to properly setup EAC to Rip with perfect settings. Also when setting up EAC when you get to the part about offsets It is almost never 0 Check Digital Audio Extraction (http://www.accuraterip.com/driveoffsets.htm) for your CD Drive for the correct offset number.

Forgot to mention, I added your guide to my sig.
Thanks for the update.
I think it should be stickied on top of every section.

I tried to get it stickied, but the mods don’t listen.

Do you have it linked in your sign? I think you’re as good as you can get, then. It’s pretty common for users to ignore sticky threads, or also not give them a read every once in a while, to see if they’ve been updated with new information/rules/banned material.
