How to beat Seymour at Gagazette?

Friggin guy, what to do against the full life BS killing people automatically??

I know I am probably underlevelled (Auron – 3800HP and lowest is Yuna at 2500HP)

I start the fight off by unleashing Bahamut for about 13K damage to both seymour and his POS buddy. Then the autolife massacre begins, I can survive one or two rounds of that then the cleaver?? wipes me out or damn close.

So how to beat this clown??

Try using auto-med (suggest saving your remedies during battle or mugging some off an Ochu or similar monster) equipped to your armor, this will heal the zombie status if you are inflicted (If you have holy waters or remedies in your items…..). If not, try casting Reflect on both your party and him. This way when he casts full life on you it will hit him but when you cast magic to heal yourself, target him…….

Get all ur people and aeons on over dive b4 starting battle wen in battle cast protect and shell on main caracters preferbly most helthy or just yuna and just keep ur health up and attack

Level up Tidus to his max sphere. Get him quick hit, and you’re good. Level Auron all the way through his sphere too.

Also, try getting a really powerful weapon, for all you main attacking characters…..
abilities like strength +10%, 5% and 3% add to give you strength + 18%

Also, try getting the evade and counter ability…. This will allow you to dodge some attacks made by seymours "pet"

Ok well I smashed the thing fairly easily once I decided to equip everyone’s armour with holy water. Protected Yuna and with her at 2600HP beat em 🙂

Also now I am out of the under mountain area, fighting some POS animal that cures itself a lot. I cast reflect and this worked for a bit but the status ailments killed me off. So auto med automatically cures any and all abnormalities??

Nobody over 4000 HP yet 🙁

You should level a little for the characters in the gagazet mountain and get them all to overdrive
for a cheap strategy get all your aeons to overdrive and summon them one at a time to get an overdrive per turn

hmph the guardian?? have fun i really hated that bastard well lbest way to go is to level alot NOW u will need to soon if u are having this much trouble
get everyone to overdrive and just beat the hell out of it

I believe it is anything and everything apart from slow, confuse, beserk and curse

i destroyificated him first try my freidn wasnt so lucky just level up as much as pos and he should go down.

yeah got him no prob, beat yunalesca first try with all the characters at the same HP level, go figure. 🙂

u should get everyones overdrives and get yunas and tiduss celestial weapons and get the crests and sigils and if that doesnt work train tidus
