How many FF’s is there going to be? i know some ppl say that 12 will be the last one but is that just for ps2? i dont think there is plans for a FF13 at the moment but if there becomes a ps3 then maybe we will see

There is no way 12 will be the last one, the simple fact is that the FF franchise makes square way too much money for them to discontinue it. Unless both 11 and 12 completely and horribly bomb (which is a near imposability) 12 will not be the the last final fantasy game.

I also heard that same thing… and Square (i think) would still continue after that… otherwise soooooooo many fans would get reall mad and they’ll not make much $$$ either!

It has to end sometime, but I don’t think it will be anytime soon. I have always wondered what the last will be, I think around 15 or 16.

As long as the franchise stays as sucessful as it is, there will still be Final Fantasies. We’ve still got quite a few games left, I’m sure. There’s no way Square is going to lose out on the money they can make from these games right now, that’s just bad buisness. I’ll believe rumors of a last final fantasy when one of them manages to tank in the US and Japan.
