How do u kill Malboros

i need to know how to kill them so i can Doomtrain

This is kinda cheating as it was so hard but I just kept waiting for Odin to come out and use Zantetzuken. You do have Odin dont you

Well if your on the fourth disk you cant get to the Malboros then and that means you cant get Doomtrain. Unless you draw it from the bosses inside Ultemecias Castle

It is possible to fight malboros in the fourth disc. If you had Odin earlier in the game, Gilgamesh should have took his place at the end of the third disc, but you don’t want to wait for him to come out and kill the malboro for you. Make sure you have gfs with status defense equipped on at least one character. Try to protect (100%) against as many of the statuses as possible, but definitely have 100 confuse junctioned on at least one character so you won’t lose control of all of them. Try to have mug on one character (if you have it and preferably on squall) and then you can just run after grabbing the tentacles if you don’t want to finish the fight. Or if you want to beat it, just attack, use gfs & magic, and heal as needed/wanted.

Another way of getting the tentacles, is to card mod a malboro card. If you don’t have any, play some of the CC members on the ragnarok. There should be at least one, even if you didn’t play all of them in garden.

Ohhh the nostalgia. I dont think there is another monster in the ff series that I wasted more time on fighting/looking for than that green pieace of shit.

I hated those things….what was really annoying would be mugging them and not getting the tentacles or going through all the trouble to beat it and not get them. Bad breath is pretty good blue magic and doomtrain is useful so I guess its worth the trouble you have to go through to get them.

Just use Quistis limit break called "Degernator".

That and Elnoyle, i almost jumped of joy when i found one that wasn’t that laughing one in Esthar

Whats the difference between normal ones and the laughing ones

There’s a laughing one that keeps appearing in the same point in Esthar, so it’s a Free Elnoyle to take down

I know about the laughing Elnoye, but its not a free take down its just as hard as normal Elnoye

I say free take down becase you dont have to walk for about 30 minutes to find one in the world map

its quite easy. Initiative squall with auto haste and make sure hes at 255 str and have him at about 1293 hp before the fight. Badda bing badda boom. If ur packen lionheart you should kill it with just the renzokuken.
