How do i get Gau?

how exactly do i get this Gau dude…..i imagine hes like Yuffie?

Finding Gau isn’t too tricky, from what I can recollect. You’ve just come out of the Phantom Forest (and the Ghost Train), and jumped off of Baren Falls (I think.) You’ll meet Gau at the bottom of the falls, and then he goes off. Head to the town nearby (Mobliz, I think) and buy some dried meat. Then go and fight a battle on the plains. When Gau appears, use the dried meat on him and he should join your party.

Heh heh. Gau’s kewl. He learns attacks from enemies at the expense of him leaving for a few battles.
