Does anyone know where I can find the music for Hotel Mario (CDi)? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I’d like to also add a request to this: Those two crappy CD-1 Zelda games too… I’m curious about their soundtracks.

Sadly, the best thing about the games is definitely the music, and it doesn’t seem we’ll ever get any of it since people don’t seem to acknowledge these games.
I’d think the Youtube Poop community would be all over this, but I guess I’m wrong.

Make this a forth.

Even though they are bad games, I’m surprised noone has their soundtracks! Maybe it is not possible to retrieve the music from CD-i games? I hope if someone is able to find them they can post them for us…

Edit – I forgot to add, I’ve heard there are ways to play CD-i games via PC so I’m not sure but maybe this is the only way to get the music?

Seems like a lot of work to make it feasible though, so I doubt their existance due to the amount of work it takes to get that to function properly!
Shame since I was as curious as everyone else about these soundtracks.

I love how people who never played the CD-i games call them crappy. I played them, and I think they are filled with awesome and epic.

But yes, I’d also like to have the music of Hotel Mario.

You’re right, the games aren’t really as bad as everyone makes them out to be, but no, they ARE NOT good.

And I think I can safely say that the music is indeed the best part of the games.

Well, they were pretty decent back in the time, actually. And with limited development time and budget you can only do as much. =P

As said, I think, looking back at it in my memories, that those games were pretty cool. They weren’t the best, of course, but they were not as bad as everyone who HASN’T played them says/thinks just because the Angry Video Game Nerd said it or something…

AVGN actually made some reasonable complaints about the games. He pointed out many legitimately crippling flaws in the games that make them very difficult to appreciate, which is much more than most people ever do.
Most people see the cut-scenes and just assume the games must be crap (who can blame them?).
So yeah, that’s the main problem, people assuming the gameplay sucks because the cut-scenes are garbage.

Also, you grew up with the CD-i?
Dude, I’m so sorry…

Not only, but we had one, as well. XD

And I personally think the cutscenes were hilarious and they make the games into the trash they are. And that’s what they are. Trash. And I love me some trash, hence I watch the old Godzilla movies or such. =P

And yes, AVGN makes valid points, but just watching that review and NEVER playing those games doesn’t make someone an expert on the CD-i games. AVGN exaggerates, imo, in most of the things. In every of his reviews.

The AVGN videos are of course parody. The point of his reviews are to look at such games in an obviously exaggerated and comedic light – enveloping the frustration and distaste towards games that can come about through poor controls/storyline etc. Doesn’t mean they’re not unplayable – like Sherlock was saying, sometimes the ingrained memory of playing these games once upon a time is enough to overlook perhaps awkward controls, etc. 😛 If it’s any consolation, I quite like ‘bad games’ too!

Anyway…still looking for these music tracks!
