PS3 Home was released a few days ago, anyone checked it out?

It keeps disconecting for me so I didn’t get to do much other then walk around my space lol.

I tried connecting to it 20 times and never got onto it once.

Haha, it took me about 30 tries.

Guess it’s something they need to fix.

A friend lives down the road from me can get onto it no problem and what’s the damn delay on SF HD Remix over here 😡

I think some people are already disconnected enough from the real world as is, and now with this coming out things will only get worse.

Than again, a lot of people are having trouble getting onto it, so meh.

I can’t get out of my apartment because I try to download the townsquare and whenever I do it disconnects before it finishes.

ah well.

Closed beta was better because everything was free.

The EU servers at the moment are hard to get into. I’ve gotten in twice since it was released. It’s good but a bit bare (that will obviously be rectified with time) and I hate that they expect people to pay for every little thing. An origami dog costs money and all it does is go on a table, it’s pathetic.

So, what is it supposed to be exactly? Sony’s attempt at making your PS3 more like an MMO version of the sims? Only less in depth and just as a money spinner?

I have looked it up, but I imagine a better explanation about what you can do would come from someone who has been on it.

It’s a social hub. It’s completely free with the bare bones and what-not, but if you want the extra shit (eventually they will release picture frames, audio players and TVs), you obviously have to pay.

The point of it is to meet new people to play games with. You can even set up games from within HOME.

What nsb said. At the moment there’s not much to it, it’s pretty fun but in time I’m sure it will evolve to something much better. It is still in it’s Beta phase remember.

I had a chance to check out Home over the weekend. So far, it’s the definition of ‘meh’. But it should get better over time, I guess.

Since starting the closed beta 2 months ago, I’ve been bored with Home. It’s a good thing I already downloaded everything when it was free. I’m giving Home time to get more interesting. Jftr, I’ve had no problems getting into home this weekend.

We fags with HOME should arrange a group bowling session. I’ve not played it myself, but I have been told it’s actually not that bad. Could be prime for banter.
