High arcana

I’ve been trying to get some high arcanas to get the tournesol but am having trouble finding any good places to get it. I have all the loot necessary for buying the high arcanas at the bazaar except for the soul of thamasa. I think I will need another 3 of them but they are hard to get.

I already killed the rare game monster that you can steal them from and got his hunt trophy so he’s not an option anymore. And I don’t know how easy it is, but I know oversouls can drop them in the necrohol but I haven’t had much luck with that so I don’t want to try that anymore.

I stupidly forgot to steal some high arcanas from two espers I killed a couple of days ago and I have three espers left but they sound hard.

Now all I know left is that I can get High arcanas from rare games with the canopic jar, is there anyway of doing that easily. I tried killing dustia in the westersand and exiting quickly but even after killing it atleast 80 times I still got no high arcana drops.

I think stealing from Exodus and Belias can get you some if you’re lucky. And then killing or stealing from level 99 Red Chocobos. But otherwise its been so long since i played i can’t think of anywhere/thing else.

You can make High Arcana from 10x Arcana, 1x Feystone and 1x Soul of Thamasa at the bazaar an unlimited number of times.

You can get Feystone as a steal or drop from any elemental or entite, and Oversouls in the Nechrohol of Nabudis drop Soul of Thamasa sometimes (just keep killing things and they’ll show up soon enough). I’m assuming you have all the monographs already here.

Stealing from Espers was always the easiest way I found, and I had two droped by Bombshells in Henne Mines, although I think I was pretty lucky. I don’t know the actual drop rates, but it might be easier to go after the items to make them.

If you pay attention to the OP’s post he said he already knew about the synthesis thing and the Souls of Thamasa which he was unable to get.

Also "Bombshells" are in the Lhusu Mines, not Henne.

My advice? ALL non-trophy Rare Game monsters have a fair chance of dropping High Arcana, IF you have the Canopic Jar. So, if you haven’t completed the Rare Game bestiary, look at a Rare Game FAQ, and just to make it more interesting, make it your mission to complete the Rare Game Bestiary. If you have a lot left, you’ll probably eventually get one from one of them. Don’t hunt them over and over, instead go after all the ones you’re missing and maybe in however many that is, one will drop a High Arcana. Every now and then I run into a certain Rare Game monster and I kill it and get a High Arcana.

But again, you MUST have the Canopic Jar. You say you killed Dustia 80 times and didn’t get it? Well, if it’s not bad luck, it would mean you haven’t got the Canopic Jar.

going after my missing rare games would definately save time later on when trying to get all the sky pirates den awards.

I second Zak; make sure you have the Canopic Jar and go pummel some rare monsters. I seriously have about eight High Arcana now (and that’s after I got the Tournesol).
