So, which is\are that\those games that you consider AAA material but are obscure?

Their strong points, mostly, are?
Their weak points, mostly, are?
What was that detail that made you feel interest for the game?

For me, it is "Galerians" and "Galerians:Ash", a duology with a very twisted take on humanity worst, a cyber-horror themed romp full of oddities.

Strong Points:

1) Nightmare-like atmosphere
2) Off-putting (horror game after all)
3) Interesting game mechanics that pressure you to not linger around too much (cannot spoil it)
4) Zany characters design (Dorothy, Rita, Nitro, Parano just to name the most memorable ones)
5) Excellent OST
6) 2nd game, Ash, can be played differently many times because there are different types of "skills" you can use\decide to not use, to make it more restricting (aka fun)
7) Japanese-style horror, which works
8) Excellent Full Motion Videos

Weak Point:
1) 1st game starts slightly clich
2) Japanese-style horror is not for everyone
3) 1st game has a "tank-movement" style gameplay (think Resident Evil 1-2-3)
4) Both game use the power of the console they are on well but are no Killer Application
5) Plot can be somewhat confusing
6) Protagonist is a teenager

What involved me into the game:
The out-worldness of it; the soundtrack; the character design; the wicked and twisted plot.

Well, that is for me.

3D Dot Game Heroes deserves a re-release on the modern stuff because it would be great to see it with slightly updated graphics.

When I saw this, I thought, what was it and how has it done here. But after the detailed checkings I found the really great play and enjoyed it further.
