July 9th 2016 edit: Since MediaFire has started redirecting to unknown websites upon clicking a download link, it can no longer be trusted. As a result, I have removed all MediaFire links. Apologies to those who can’t use Mega, but I cannot in good conscience leave potentially dangerous links up.

Recorded via Project64’s audio logging feature (since the music cannot currently be dumped by normal means) then edited and spliced together to remove all the pops and clicks I noticed. There’s two sets, one that includes the song variations and one that does not.

This isn’t the usual fuzzy, low quality set that’s always floating around. I can truthfully say that this is the best quality (at the time of this upload) recording of Hey You Pikachu’s music out there. Give it a listen, the game honestly has some really nice music.

What do you think of the yellow microphone stick on the N64?

So happy they made this game!

-What do you think of the yellow microphone stick on the N64?-

I don’t think the Microphone was the issue with Hey You. I think it was more of the technology not being quite there yet. Any time that I tried to play the game, it seemed really unresponsive and more of an experiment in trial and error more so than a full game experience. Later efforts, like those found in Seaman, seemed to far a little better, but again, the technology wasn’t quite there. I’ve seen other games that have tried to utilize microphone commands in their game but they seem clunky, especially in the case of Kinect being used for commands, so it seems more of a gimmick and novelty more than anything else.
