Looks entertaining enough. To the point where I would consider owning a DS.

GameInformer gave it a 5. Out of 10.

Don’t let one review sway you. That wasn’t my intent at all. Hell, they gave Battle Revolution a 5, too. I’m still going to rent that, see if it is worthwile.

Do they rent DS games? I’ve only seen PSP games at my video stores.

That’s the problem. I don’t want to buy a DS and the game if that’s the case. They don’t rent, as far as I know.

Heroes of Mana IS fun. I wouldn’t consider buying a DS just because of it, though. I bought it mostly because I’m a Mana fan, and definitely beats Childern of Mana, which genuinely blows. Heroes is cool with all the strategy (it’s nothing exceptional, but is quite fun) and an interesting storyline. This game is like a prelude to Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2) somewhat, one of the best RPGs on SNES.

Still, I’d like to see SE focus more on new Mana games instead of FF remakes. They have yet to come up with a Mana game that beats the Secret of Mana(s) and Legend of Mana.

I’d recommend you get a DS anyway for Revenant Wings and Phantom Hourglass (at least this one shouldn’t suck).

I’m buying DS for Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings and for Final Fantasy Tactics A2. I am very interested in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass but I don’t think I have time to beat it. By the way I may get a PSP so that I can get Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core! 🙂

Argus, is Jeanne D’Arc so far the best and most popular PSP rpg? What about for DS?
