Help with final fantasy XI

ok i started this game about a less than a year ago and i got to disk 3, i stoped playing for awhile then forgot about it, when i played this i was being imature at nameding the charactors, and no i didnt name any of them based on what you do in the bathroom:-P but anyway i wanted to rename them, so my question is…

Is there anyway to rename your character?

Nope, you can’t do it. I think namingway can do it but only once.

where would i find him

Right before you chase after Kuja, ’cause she kidnapped poor Eiko, that’s the chance to get the card.

I am sure that the Namingway card is in the corner of Kuja’s chamber.

Actually, I don’t think anybody has had the right info so far, at least not completely. Yes, the info on getting the Namingway card is accurate, but then you have to find the guy who renames your characters. Namingway is located in the town of Daguerreo, which becomes accessible after you get the airship. You have to travel up to the second floor, then go into the library area — you can access a path there leading to a secret area on a lower level. You’ll find a guy there who asks to the see the Namingway card. He won’t take it, but as long as you let him see it, he’ll say that he feels inspired and will let you rename any of your characters. And the thing about him only being able to do it once isn’t true — he’ll let you do it as many times as you like. If you need more details than that, let me know. I believe there’s also one other way to get the Namingway card, but I forget what it is at the moment — I can also find too if you need.

P.S.: A little historical background info — like many things in Final Fantasy IX, Namingway originates from classic FF. In at least one or two of the classic FFs, if you found Namingway, he would let you rename your characters.

In the Card Tournament in Treno, there’s a kid there who has the Card, but I can’t remember how to get him face you. You have to do something, I’m sure of it…

the one by kuja, one of the contestants in the Treno Card Tournament, and one of the card ghosts in Memoria has one
