HELP: usefull tips please

y cant i beat ff8? im at lvl 100 with the lionheart, and the eden summon, and griever still kicks my ass. then to top it off, compatability for eden only goes up 2 every time i summon…does anyone know of an easy way of beating ff8…i already downloaded the ending for the japanese version and realized that the ending was changed for wen it came out here and i really want to see the ending… please help me…

Get card mod and get a bunch of Gilgamesh cards. Cheap, but easy way to win.

You know…you don’t need to use Eden. More powerful and easier is to collect few meltdowns and auras, then cast meltdown to enemy, aura to Squall, and then make those darned Renzokukens!

Oh…and btw. you can draw meltdowns from gayla, which appears at trabia snowfields. You can get auras by buying power wrists from esthar pet shop, and refine them to aura.

card mod giglamesh and keep using holy war.also stock up on 100 aura spells for squall and as soon as you get in the fight kill the people you dont want to use ,and utimecia will replace them with another party member.do this until you have the people you want to use the rest of the fight.then start casting aura on squall and keep on using his limit break.heal when needed.i beat within 50 turns , but i was at level 38.

Their is your first mistake. Don’t go to level 100, Whatever level your at your enemies are at the same level. Final Fantasy 8 is a very good game but lets face it. FF8 was programmed just to see if people like the new graphics. It was a marketing method. Junction? Level increase pointless? Who was the moron who put this together?

well the way i did it was i made selphies magic power up to 255 by junctioning ultima to it then gave her the magic called meteor and used it against griever and all the parts to the fight.

Okay folks, old thread. I’m sure Teknori has probably got it beat by now. If not, well, I don’t know. If he hasn’t, then he can come and say and then maybe we can help him out some more. But it’s been about a month since he started the thread, so I’m guessing he’s got it taken care of.

actually, no…i just havent been able to post cuz i had to get my computer reprogrammed…and i havent tried yet to beat griever, im gonna get a few more things first, besides…i think i need to start over, seeing as how i kinda screwed myself over by modding all my cards that i had becuz i hated the card game, so i never had the chance to get anything good…but then again, that file is about a year old and i know better now… i just really want to beat the game. although i am pissed off becuz i already know that our ending was changed from the japanese one to make it a happy ending…grrr…….anyway, if anyone still has tips, go ahead and post em, besides, even if i do beat the game, someone else who cant can use this thread to help them…kinda like a general ff8 help thread…

What do you mean – it was changed from the Japanese version to make it happy? I have seen it debated whether or not it is actually a happy ending.

Will I Was in level 100 and beat it easly:
1-Aura on Squall (That he use Lionhart).
2-Also if you use irvine cast Aura on him (Use pulse ammo).
3-Haste on squall.
4-Summon Bahamut.
5-And Be sure you have (Full-Life).
6-The Team Should be (Squall, Zell, Rinoa).

– if you want holy war which makes it easy, dependin on your strength you can kill ultimicia with one lionheart, than just do the same with other battles and have full-life at you disposal
