Help Need to Change Audio Pitch

hello can any one tell me how to Edit the pitch of an audio file, which is too fast, down to -12

maybe the free program Audacity will help. You can edit audiofiles and such as well as pitch. Google it and it will take you to the main page. Google audacity and pitch and I came up with some results that could help you. But I know next to nothing about this stuff.
