Hey everyone!
I’m a n00b in this forum so please forgive my……..n00biness >.>;;;;

Anyways, I have a question…..
After talking to Kuja to pick your party for Oeilvert, is there ANY way to change your party again should you make the wrong choices?
I beat the game before, but my file got erased and I haven’t played in a while, and I kind of just skipped through Kuja’s whole "anti-magic" speech about Oeilvert because I forgot about that tiny little detail, so I picked Eiko, ViVi, and Dagger…….cuz I’m retarded xD

Is there any way that I could change my party again??? Or do I have to start the whole game over again? >.<;;;

I doubt there is a way to change them after choosing. they usually ask if those truly are your final choices so if you say yes to that I would say you are stuck with them. I guess you’ll have to trying fleeing from all enemies.

Dang…oh well, thank you anyways 🙂

I believe Garnet and Eiko can equip long-range rackets and the "Chemist" ability by that point–They can item-heal Zidane while he plays beatdown on everybody. Also, in Oeilvert, you can kill those stone things that produce mirror images of your party members with a Soft.

Wow thanks!!
Especially for the info about the Epitaphs, I desperately need to level up Dagger and Eiko if I’m gonna be able to even try to beat the Ark xD

Yeah, if I were you’d I’d just level up the crap out of your party to the point that you can make it through; it’ll save you trouble later in the game when you wipe the floor with the rest of your enemies.

Wahwahwah… always have an extra save file, and no there’s nothing you can do unless you have a gameshark (pref. action replay) for current party selection codes. But only do that if you don’t mind the glitches.

Don’t forget to steal from Ark; it has some pretty cool stuff. I usually wind up Stealing until Zidane’s Trance builds, then I let Zidane pummel him with whatever cool Dyne ability I’ve got.

Also, if memory serves, you should have Thievery by then; if brute over-levelling isn’t your cup of tea, you can try powering it up by stealing a LOT from random enemies. Of course, if you haven’t been stealing much throughout the game up till this point, you’ll probably be over-levelled by the time Thievery does any decent damage anyway, but I thought I’d throw that out there.

try listening to the dialouge properly and always keep extra save files.

have fun beating Ark with one effective character. you’ll be at that for a while.

On the bright side, they’ll kick the shit out of the boss in Kuja’s Palace with all the people who could kill it in less than 15 turns…

Ark isn’t that difficult. Granted, you’ll need a boatload of items, preferably with Chemist equipped, but it’s not like Dagger1626 is totally up a creek.

i didnt say it was hard, id said he’d be there a while, as Ark has a lot of HP and with only one effective character, yeah.

You can make it through with them, I have done it. It is a bit harder but you can do it. Good luck 🙂

you can steal the ‘Holy Lance’ from Ark, like Fairy Flute from gigas in conde petie mountain path, it is a hard to get item so you might be there for a while but the item doesn’t show up at daguerro till the end of disc 4 🙂

I did the same thing with my party selection, having played made the same mistake the first time I played the game through. Forgetfulness eh. Luckily Zidane ‘tranced’ with about 1000HP of damage, and I pelted him with Grand Lethal twice and Ark was a gonner.
