Hi, I’m looking for instrumental soundtracks from videogames which sound like that of Painkiller, with constant heavy riffs. I don’t need melody because I plan on using these songs as the background for a mugen (fighting game). I don’t mind some epic touches, but not soft songs, and preferably not electronic elements. What other videogames have soundtracs like what I’m describing? I remember Spawn (Dremcast) has some heavy themes. Guilty Gear also has fantastic songs, but too recognizable for what I want. Thanx.

Here is the link:

http://rapidshare.com/files/68822501/VG.rar.html

Here is what it has:

Hell Forge – City of Villains
Great Red Spirit- Dynasty Warriors
Bombardment – Skies of Arcadia
Angel’s Despair- Killer 7
Theme of Lu Bu (DW Fire Mix) – Dynasty Warriors
Reenact – Killer 7
Dynasty Warriors – Dynasty Warrior
Superior – Dynasty Warriors
Port Recluse – City of Villains
Here We Go – Dynasty Warriors
Errand Boy – Killer 7
Azure Blue World – Sonic Adventure
Arena – Dynasty Warriors
Jump Into The Battlefield- Dynasty Warriors Ultimate Best
Drop Zone – City of Villains
Theme of Lu Bu (DW Big Fat Mix) – Dynasty Warriors
Hall Of Warriors – Dynasty Warriors
Devil’s Coat Trails – City of Villains
Trembling With Eagerness – Dynasty Warriors
Oppression – Dynasty Warriors
Mercy Island – City of Villains
Opening (DW Emergency Mix) – Dynasty Warriors
Dark Angel – Dynasty Warriors
Theme of Lu Bu (DW Terrible Mix) – Dynasty Warriors

Even if it doesn’t work out for what your using it for, it’s still a bunch of rockin’ songs. 🙂

For that matter, the Black Mages albums, some of Marty Freidman’s (ie- Music For Speeding), some Tomoyasu Hotei, etc.
Lord of Vermillion 1, 2, and Re:2 might also fit the bill.
Some heavy metal guitar game cover albums (kinda like Black Mages) could work too… GUARVAIL, Dual Dragons, Powerglove, CROW’S CLAW, Arterial Fear, Erock, Hellion Sounds, etc.

I realize the OP probably was done with this issue years ago, but for anyone else with the same problem, ^
