Halo 3 ODST game rip.

I’m looking for the music from Halo 3 ODST. Thought somebody would have it since the french leak, but maybe I was wrong.

I’ve got the credits music, the intro and story intro music with slight sfx in the Intros. The ingame music is unrippable because of the Halo 3 engine map files.

Will upload the songs as soon as i can.

Thats odd because I have a rip of all the original Halo 3 music…

Not a software rip I bet. Besides most people are too scared to play ODST and make a line-in as they’ll get banned from Live.

Well the songs have no SFX… so I’m thinking it came straight off the disc and not from someone playing the game and recording.

I’m intrigued. Could you upload this rip or tell me who ripped it please? 🙂

If so, it does contain a small amount of SFX last I checked. I haven’t found any other Halo 3 rips.

Its possible… I’d have to redownload it to find out… I can tell you that I’ve listened to every song and I have heard no SFX in them.

The files names in the rip I found were something like Halo 3/[level name]. [section of song]/[section of song] etc. For instance one is:

Halo 3/The Ark. Behold a Pale Horse/Reconciled/Overcome/Small Victory

Holy shit. Someone managed to do a software rip. Those map files have the exact same organization. Could you help me find this person who ripped this?

This rip is definitely not the one on that thread I posted.

That being said, I do have that rip… and I am noticing that it is not the best sounding thing ever… I have it listed as the actual OST though…

Hm, I think it might be the official OST broken up from the song suites.

I don’t think its the OST broken up, because the OST songs only list the first section of a level… also for me to upload it I’d have to dig through my iTunes library and zip it and sctuff…

Could you tell me the running time?

Crap. This is the official, with different names. There was 7 hours of music written for Halo 3, which means that even if this was a rip, which I don’t think so anymore, it is woefully incomplete. 🙁

Super awesome, i was amazed at new direction, its new, its orchestral, some tunes like RE1/2 save rooms…..

though i doubt that 17 tracks will cover them all….so please if someone can rip

It won’t only 2 out of 3 hours. It seems to be unrippable with a software rip. And no line-in rips possible, no sound options I presume as it’s on the H3 engine.

Hmmm you guys are from GFF IIRC, there was another guy called amir(hotmail id or maybe GFF ID) something who ripped excellent quality rips of halo3, which were not on halo3 OST, if you guys can trace him.

The music is really nice, features unique sounds we’re not really used to from Martin O’Donell. Kinda future jazz-ish. I liked it.
