Giuseppe Verdi: La forza del destino (The Vox Music Group, 1996)

Here’s another fine music set. Today’s tunes come compliments of the Chorus and Orchestra of Romanian Radio-Television, Carol Litvin, Mihai Panghe, Maria Nistor-Slatinaru, Nicolae Herlea, Ludovic Spiess, Zenaida Pally, Nicolae Florei, Constantin Gabor, Mihaela Mariacineanu, Ion Stoian, Dan Musetescu, and various other artists. Enjoy and comment freely.

Disclaimer: Disc 1 suffered slight humidity damage that got a bit of the CD booklet stuck to its obverse. I listened to the whole thing from beginning to end and all tracks save the very last (#13, "� fermo il voto") were fine. Since I don’t know how to repair the damaged track and I couldn’t find an undamaged MP3 from the same set, I converted another rendition of the same song by Carlo Colombara and Eva-Maria Westbroek. I know it doesn’t quite fit with the rest of the set, but it was either this or sharing a mutilated disc. I apologize in advance: there’s nothing I can do about it at this moment. Please let me know if there’s further trouble.
