"Gilgamesh"

Gilgamesh is a swords and weapons collecter…He was in FF5 and had appears in FF8 when you fight sefier and kill odin…But What is his real story?

His real story is a very old one, thousands of years old originating in Babylon I think. Gilgamesh and his pal Enkidu go on an epic adventure in search of immortality and among other things encounter a giant Noah sized flood. It’s been many years since I’ve read it but I’m sure someone else around here could give you a better explanation.

Since we’re talking about him, I’ll also mention that he also appears in FFIX.

Gilgamesh was a Sumerian king, who was also a demi-god; he was, however a mortal, and went in search for immortality (I think he had to sail across this huge expanse of water to get to this old man. Been awhile for me too :P). He ultimately failed, though.
Now that I think about it, he also seemed to have this affair with the goddess of love – but kept on rejecting her. Wierd sort of guy. :/
