Is there a way you can re-do the scans on the covers and use "descreening" to get rid of that ugly checkerboard pattern that ruins the images? There should be a descreening option on your scanner.

I hope you won’t be offended if I make a suggestion, the booklet volume is almost the same size as the FLAC, if you use jpg instead of png you can reduce it to around a quarter with negligible loss in quality and the file will open quicker as well. I converted mine using Paint. All the same it was kind of you to scan it.
