Here’s a list of some games I believe should’ve gotten an official soundtrack release, some are a bit old:

1. MediEvil

2. MediEvil II

3. Fatal Frame III (this one could’ve made a fantastic ambiance soundtrack, but instead they released an album with just two or three songs, nothing to do with the actual in-game music as far as I know)

4. Maximo vs Army of Zin (I really don’t know why this game was left out, especially since most Capcom games have their own OST)

5. Metroid Prime 2 & 3 (what’s the point of releasing a soundtrack for the first game and leave this two without their own? mostly considering they have a much better soundtrack)

6. Mario & Luigi Super Star Saga

7. All three TimeSplitters games (awesome music, dunno why they never cared about an OST)

8. The Legend of Zelda – Minish Cap

Now you guys submit your own list.

I’m still waiting for Ikaruga to get a soundtrack release. Original or with rearrangements similar to Radiant Silvergun’s release would be great. And if it ever comes out, I hope the package itself will use the polarity idea in the game.

I’ve got the soundtrack to Fatal Frame 3…. it’s likely a game rip, not an official release, but it’s very well done, and it’s better than nothing.

And incredibly creepy.

Must be the same that’s available here at Galbadia.

Yeah… it’s a shame, but most games with only ambient soundtracks will never get an official release. But in Fatal Frame 3’s case, 58 tracks of ripped awesome are better than 0 tracks of official awesome.

I take what I can get.

Monster Party (iirc it doesn’t have a soundtrack), there are others but I can’t think of any of the top of my head.

1. there is a french promo soundtrack for Medievil.
2. there is an official single for Fatal Frame III (2 tracks..)

You’r right on the rest.. You can rely on rips for them.

For 2D/2.5D versus fighting game soundtracks that deserve an official soundtrack release:
1. Marvel vs Capcom 2
2. Asura Buster
3. Rumble Fish 2
4. Big Bang Beat
5. Martial Masters

Other games that derserve an official original/arrange soundtrack:
1. Demon Crest
2. Xexyz
4. Monster Party
5. Shinobi 3
6. Hagane
7. Ristar
8. Sonic 1, 2, and 3
9. Battletoads
10. Langrisser IV
11. Fire Emblem – Sacred Stones, Path of Radience, and Radiant Dawn

To my knowledge, none of the above games received a "complete" soundtrack release, though I could be wrong about that.

You mean Joypad CD Vol.4 for MediEvil, it only covers 10 tracks of the more than 20 the game has.

And I forgot to mention Rule of Rose, there was a promo CD but I’ve been unable to find it, the game sucked but the music was beautiful.

Forever kingdom should of gotten one as well, Evergrace got one so why not Evergrace 2 (a.k.a Forever kingdom) ? Also, another really old but still awesome soundtrack would of been Cool boarders 3…to my knowledge they haven’t made an ost for it.
Also also…;) i’d like to see certain games have a complete soundtrack *coughs* Growlancer generations. The songs they put out for it were different from the ones in the game music gallery…so yeah.

Megaman Network Transmission (GCN). It has many awesome songs that are in many ways unique from other Megaman songs but they’re still fitting for a Megaman game.

If you’ve never heard this music before, here’s a link to a site that has them for download/streaming: The MegaMan Network (http://blue-bomber.jvmwriter.org/index.php?title=Mega_Man_Network_Transmission_(mus ic_rip))
My personal favorite is Abnormal Gravity Area – GravityMan Stage (http://blue-bomber.jvmwriter.org/media/music/BattleNetwork/src_exe_transmission/MMNT%20-%2014%20-%20Abnormal%20Gravity%20Area%20-%20GravityMan%20Stage.mp3) 😀

Btw, what makes this rip better then some others is that it was extracted directly from the game disc and not recorded via line-in of a computer.
