Most of the time I come across video game music with the basic formats for ther music which are mainloy wav,ogg,ea mus ect.

But other times you come across unknown music format such as what ubi uses. Know i know that they use there SS0 encryption or stream music file format, but inside them lies another codec or stream which are probably headerless. So many a time tyey are voxware or ogg format.

Same with other console games like PS2 which mostly uses ADPCM.

So how do some of us ripping guru’s identify these file formats and find out the actual codec?
