I really don’t understand what’s the point of these V.A. releases, when they release songs that were out in the public for a long time, and weren’t originally written for the film.

Because people who listen to this shit will buy this shit. These are the same people who think Kanye "discovered" Paul McCartney

They want to fill seats at the box office. And all that.
If kids buy the soundtrack, they’ll go see the movie for completion.
They’ll drink to this "mix" and have parties and have the sexs and then go see the movie and drink after movie to this music again.

You people do realize that all the F&F films have had 2 albums: VA and score

The majority of the songs on the VA releases are in the films… mostly as source cues

The main song for Fast and Furious 6 "We Own It" was absolutely perfect for that film. It played over this awesome montage that summed up the entire series.

Love that song. But then I love the Fast & Furious series. I doubt any other song they come out with for this one could top We Own It.

I remember Lucas Vidal trying to get a release for his fans.
Don’t know what happened of that.

But most VA albums, aren’t just source cues.
A majority of the albums are "inspired by", where the licensing rights weren’t available for the source songs.

No soundtrack release ever got a full licensed release.
Hence, "inspired by" releases like this drivel.

The Avengers and Iron Man 3 are perfect examples of that. Oh, and let’s not forget that The Lone Ranger: Wanted bullshit. Disney at it’s absolute cash-grabbing best

It would have been better if these songs had been mixed with a part of the original score. kind like the soundtrack of the "great gatsby" where the Lana del Rey’s song (young and beautiful) was mixed with the score. i like very much that kind of soundtrack. i wanna say "mixed" in the same track.

Yea, I have to agree, I quite enjoyed We Own It. I also thought the song they used during the Dom and Letty race was really good too (Here We Go). I’m guessing Ride Out is this movie’s "theme" song.
