the original cd release in FLAC/lossless has different attributes.
the original vinyl release in FLAC/lossless has higher attributes.
The Bit Depth, Sampling Rate, and Bitrate is significantly higher for vinyl rips.

CD FLACs: BitDepth=16/SamplingRate=44.1KHz/Bitrate=700-1500Kbps (VBR)
Vinyl FLACs: BitDepth=24/SamplingRate=96Khz/Bitrate=above 2000Kbps (VBR)

Vinyl rips, if ripped properly, can sound really nice on loud stereo systems (as in not tiny little speakers or laptop speakers).
Connecting to your receiver/amp, the recommended method is via digital outputs (instead of analog jacks/headphone jacks).

I personally listen on CD.
For burning on CD you have to convert these 24bits/96khz tracks to 16bits/44,1khz. That’s quite simple and you should be able to to it with Foobar though
I haven’t found myself if there’s a way to convert the bitrate (the 96Khz to 44,1khz).

However, this Flac version has something special: it has Replay Gain included (+7.23 dB on the whole album according to the infos), means it turns up the volume compared to what is really there when played on your computer . So if you convert directly it will remove this setting and you’ll end with the whole album unprocessed, at low volume.

What I did then: I imported each track on Audacity and dealed with the volumes separately. I turned up the volumes to +5Db or +6Db depending on the tracks, rarely to +7Db.
Audacity will export your tracks in 16bits… Don’t forget to check the 96KHz down to 44100KHz (button at the bottom left).

Thanks a lot for this upload ! Great sound, not aggressive as was the CD album, very very agreable listening, warm, powerful but still subtle and sweet.

What I can do is to tell how much DB I’ve fixed for each track, I’ve noted that somewhere.

For that great upload! When I download music, I’m always looking for Vinyl Rips only. In comparison to Vinyl rips all that so called "High-Def-Audio", e.g. SACD, just sound’s like shit!
