You must have clicked the wrong link, there’s a bunch of pop ups on their site that look like legit download links, but they’re not, there’s a cross in the top right to close them, the download method is the same as it’s been for ages.

No, you don’t. You just have to close the popup advertisement and download as usual.

Hmm, there are no pop-ups, and the site now looks like this. Where it used to say "Free download" on the right it now says "Regular Download" and when you click on it, you’re directed to a page where you have to enter the phone number:

Hmm, that’s odd… Other sites are saying that when you click "Regular Download" THEN you get a popup appearing over the regular screen. I’m at work at the moment – Depositfiles is a no-no on our firewall. Will have a closer look when I get home. Good luck… 🙂

Well, I resolved the issue. I disabled my Adblock Plus in Firefox, then I got the pop up, then in the "regular download" window I clicked on the small red "x" in the corner, THEN I was transported to the usual 60 seconds download page. Complicated …
