Basically, are the GCN and Wii Fire Emblem games worth my time? They have pretty solid scores at gamerankings.com, but I’d like some good advice (preferably without spoilers!) before I up and buy one (or both).

To be honest I thought the games were pretty good, maybe nothing great. But I am a rather big fan of the general strategy-RPG genre and anything of that sort that doesn’t completely suck will hold my interest. If you’re not typically a fan of that genre I can’t really say you’ll absolutely love this game, otherwise they should be at least be okay. I just think the Wii one can get really, really frustrating at times because once a character dies they’re dead for the entire game, and it can happen somewhat often depending on your difficulty. The GCN one seemed really, really easy to me, though.

I am going to get a PS3 eventually just for Disgaea 3.

Most serious Garamond post ever.

I think there worth it, but Garamond made very strong points, not much to add to it.

If they cost like $29.99 a piece then I would say more or less yes at $49.99 man I am not sure

The GCN game (Path of Radiance, iirc) was something like $24 or $26 at one of my local GameStops a few days ago. The Wii game was still the usual brand-new price. Once I get my stimulus check, I’m likely to pick up the GCN one.

You aren’t a graphics whore otherwise I was say watch out.

24 for PoR is good enough, if you hate it you can at least get that amount back through ebay

They are probably worth your time, but i say Rekka no Ken is by far the best.

Yupp, there’s always time enough for Fire Emblem 😉 But Rekka no Ken (Blazing Sword) Is by far the best one… Sacred Stones are probably 2nd one ^^

Don’t forget to try some of the SNES ones. Especially the fifth one, Thracia 776. This is considered to be one of the hardest of the series. (My friends said that the new one is hard too, but I don’t know if it is harder or not.)

the new one is really long.
It would be insanely difficult if you could not save mid-battle.

Soo…I got Radiant Dawn for Daddy Day, and now that I’m starting to get the hang of it, I’m enjoying it. I think there are a few design flaws and the presentation is rather lacking, but it’s pretty good. Once I finish it, I may pick up Path of Radiance, if I don’t get a DS and the GBA games first.

Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday nights work for me. I’ve got your FC; mine shouldn’t be too difficult to find. 😉

Sure do. I take it you’re still playing Sonic?

Yessir. Since I don’t have everyone unlocked, I can’t play Wolf anymore.
