I went in to my local Game today and they had X-2 on the shelves to pre-order. Yes! This is a major step in the direction for it actually getting released. The guy behind the counter said they expect it 24th of Feb.

Is it just me or is the whole final fantasy range the most put back game ever?
They never come out on the first 2 or 3 set release dates. It just builds up my anticipation and frustration about not having them. I am usually the first person outside the shop when they are out.

Europe.

But FFX-2 arrives in Europe terribly early compared to FFX. I suspect it’s because this time electronic Arts is in charge, not lazy Square Enix Europe. If my memory doesn’t play tricks on me, FFX was released in Europe half a year after its release in the US.
I don’t know why they are so terribly slow. It’s not as if they have much extra work because they only release an English dub anyway, the American one. And subtitles don’t take THAT long, if you start early enough, that is. It should be possible to release a Final Fantasy game at the same time in both the USA and in Europe. It is annoying and unfair that sometime you have to wait so long.
At the time when most of the US gamers had already long finished Final Fantasy X, Europe got the demo of this game. I mean, come on, that’s ridiculous. It’s a situation that I’m utterly unhappy about. 🙁
