Hey guys,

Here’s the new music from Patch 4.1 from FFXIV. In this patch they released a new raid based on the Final Fantasy Tactics Ivalice world, so they stuck a bunch of those songs in there. (I counted 10)

Other than that, it appears there are two new original songs that are currently in the game; one for the new dungeon (Drowned City of Skalla) and one for the friendly blue Kojin beast tribe.

There are also two other songs; one that was identified in the Orchestrion songs entry as "Starlit Gateway" and is tagged as a seasonal event. it sounds almost identical to "Gateway to Paradise" (chocobo racing song) except it has a Christmas-y sound to it, so chances are it will be used during the Starlight Celebration event that normally occurs around that time. The other song (~e8d1e756) I have no clue what it’s for. There’s a gap in the Orchestrion list for it without any description. It’s also a multi-layer song, and in the past I’ve had terrible luck doing any kind of editing on these so I just opted to leave it as it without extending/re-encoding.

They also added more songs to the Orchestrion in game, which means more official titles are available for songs that originally launched with Stormblood. I reuploaded these songs with the correct titles embedded in the songs (the file names remained the same), and as someone pointed out in my original post for Stormblood, I omitted the first phase fight for The Royal Menagerie because it sounded like it was the same song as "Scale and Steel", but since they gave it another title in the Orchestrion "The Worm’s Head" (yes, Worm, not Wyrm like would make more sense…) I added it as well.

If for some reason you don’t like OGG file format, you can stick them in Foobar2000 and convert them to MP3 or whatever, but it’s a waste (unless you’re trying to stick these in a car MP3 player or something) since OGG is a lossy format and you’re converting to another lossy format.

Ironically enough Gateway to Paradise is in turn from a past FF game – it’s a remix of Electric de Chocobo from FFVII. 😉 But yes, it’s highly likely that is for the Starlight Festival, given that a new minion was added to the game in that patch which is a bear wearing a Santa hat so it’s possible that is connected to it.

Either way, thank you so much for uploading this Orophin – the FFT remixes for the Ivalice raid are especially good. 😀

One new song added in 4.11 for Ultimate Coil of Bahamut.

Thank you for sharing it! I’ll probably never listen to this song in game since I don’t raid. Soken did an awesome job as aways.

I was expecting for the music that plays at the beginning of patch 4.1 trailer. But it seems that it will be used for the new pvp mode, likely to be implemented in patch 4.15.

The song at the very beginning of the trailer is what plays in the Drowned City of Skalla.
