FINAL FANTASY X HELP NEEDED

hey all

i really need help since last yr(this is ganna sound really sad) iv been stuck at the moonflow were tidus and wakka try to defeat the "extractor" but i keep dieing and it really pee’s me off and i really want to get past this stupid part.. so can some please give me some advice or tips or tell me what im doing wrong???????

iv got tidus to learn lightning thing like lulu(no help)
i got a guide told me to use a sword with lighting strike(cant find one)
iv got wakka using a scout ball with lightning strike(only dose little damage)
and iv got there over drives busted up(still no help)
and i die before i have time to heal up… and by the time im at the moon flow im all out of high potions and tidus dies first and wakka only has a fewe life points left………..

so you see i need help fast!!!!!

The Extractor is provoked!- When it’s up, use Provoke on it and it comes back
down without use of Depth Charges
Aqua Shooter damage increases!- Increases Aqua Shooter damage by 50%
The Extractor cools down- Provoke effect wears off of it
Aqua Shooter damage decreases- Aqua Shooter damage returns to normal

-> Sensor: Vulnerable to lightning.
-> Scan: After rising, it releases Depth Charges, inflicting darkness and damage
on Tidus and Wakka. Hurt it as much as you can to bring it back down.

—> STRATEGIC TACTICS: <—
Extractor: I think stats by this point should be about 25-30 or something like
that. Use any weapons that you may have found on your journey thus far that
may be pre-equipped with the Lightningstrike ability for both of them. When
the fight first begins you should have Tidus’ first act be to cast Haste on
his own self. Now use him and Wakka to attack. Then after Wakka’s final turn,
have Tidus then use Haste on Wakka too. Use their attacks consecutively on the
Extractor.
When it uses Aqua Shooter don’t fray just heal with regular Potions, but if it
uses Depth Charges at anytime use Hi-Potions or even a Mega-Potion. Continue
this on the whole time. And use overdrives when their bars are totally full.
Another effective means of killing Extractor is to wait for it to rise, and then
use Provoke on it before it uses Depth Charges. Just prepare for harder-hitting
Aqua Shooter (fair trade-in, IMO, though).

If you’re stuck at the Moonflow, you haven’t taken the training seriously enough. I made that battle without (too big) problems my first time. I didn’t worry too much about anything, really, I just really really needed too go to the bathroom but couldn’t take my eyes away from the screen. So, I beat it as fast as I could, and it was easy enough.

It should’t be that hard at this point.Lightningtouch is definetly the game-winner in this fight.Make sure you have good weapons for this point in the game also.

i agree with this. the battle against the extractor should be no sweat for you if youve been training. the first time i played through i didnt have lightning strike and i still wasted it. But if you havent trained i imagine it would be a little challenging.
