Final Fantasy VIII Limit Break Guide

Squall:
Squall’s Limit Break is Renzokuken. When a gauge appears at the bottom of the screen, attempt to press the R1 button precisely when the line appears in the small box at the left hand side of the gauge. If succeeded, then each hit will do 200% damage (you must continuely do this until the attack ends).

At the end of Renzokuken Squall may exacute a special finishing move. There are four.

Rough Divide
Squall finishes his Limit Break by rushing one enemy and performing a rising slash. Unlocked by Revolver.

Fated Circle
Squall finishes his Limit Break by jumping into the air, twirls his gunblade, and releases a shockwave that hits all enemies. Unlocked by Shear Trigger, Cutting Trigger.

Blasting Zone
Squall finishes his Limit Break by shooting a column of light out of his gunblade that he uses to crush all his enemies. Unlocked by Flame Saber, Twin Lance, Punishment.

Lion Heart
Squall finishes his Limit Break by knocking one enemy into the air and unleashing a flurry of devastating attacks. Unlocked by Lion Heart.

Note: All previous Limit Breaks are accesable from newer weaopns.

Hmm, well, sounds like boilerplate stuff so far, but keep at it.

XD agreed. Perhaps a mention at which weapon unlocks which limit break. I’ll give you a hint for Squall’s, only two aren’t obvious 😛

I haven’t had a chance to. Don’t worry though by the end this will be much more detailed with all characters.
